Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan saw another strong weekend at the box office in China. In fact, the business of its second weekend was similar to that of its first. While in the first weekend the film had earned $ 8.57 million, in its second weekend it made $ 7.98 million. This is despite the release of MCU’s box office juggernaut Black Panther.
The opened to better numbers than Dangal in China but that film gained momentum in its weekdays and by the second weekend it was the top film in China beating even MCU’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. While Bajrangi Bhaijaan is unable to repeat what Dangal did at China box office it’s still a success story looking for more than Rs 200 crore at China box office.
Here’s what Taran Adarsh has to say about it’s business in China. He tweeted, “#BajrangiBhaijaan is SUPER-STRONG in China [despite #BlackPanther wave]… Collected $ 8.57 mn in *Weekend 1*, collected $ 7.98 mn in *Weekend 2* – FANTASTIC TRENDING… [Week 2] Fri $ 1.75 mn Sat $ 3.35 mn Sun $ 2.88 mn Total: $ 26.07 million [₹ 169.42 cr]”
At worldwide box office, Bajrangi Bhaijaan currently stands at number four position but in a day or two it’ll beat the worldwide lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar. While Secret Superstar is at Rs 874 crore, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has earned Rs 867.42 crore.
